J.L. paralever bushing

Has anyone used one of these bushing upgrade kits?
My bearings have some play and I am going to check the bearings this week while doing the 60K work on my LT.
If I need new bearings I was thinking of using these bushings.

Paul Glaves wrote about them in BMWMOA. He's a great wrench and gospel in my book.

Re: J.L. paralever bushing

I have a set but have not installed them yet. They are well made and will better fit the application than needle bearings that are stock. I have heard that the factory has changed from needle to better roller bearins as replacements.

Thumbs up Re: J.L. paralever bushing

I have installed a set of these bushings last year after the second set of original BMW bearings went south. I now have over 20,000 miles on them and they are still operating as they should be. A bit more of an installation issue than the OEM needle bearings but they sure keep the FD in line with the bike as it should be. I highly recommend them. I ride 30% 2 up and another 20% fully loaded with camping gear on long trips with the balance 50% solo and lightly loaded (the bike not the rider).
