Alarm Remote

I bought my 2004 LT '3' months ago wih 7k miles.
It does not have a remote for the alarm.
Do I need this to disconnect the battery?
Can I order a remote through BMW?

Re: Alarm Remote

if you can find someone with an extra key fob, you can program it to your bike.

Re: Alarm Remote

If you are replacing the battery, do what I did on my RT. I just hooked up a Battery Tender with a SAE to Powerlet adapter and plugged it in the accessory socket. Kept power to the motorcycle while I played the radio and switched batteries.

Re: Alarm Remote

The other day was out for a ride and the the battery connection was loose stopped for lunch and got the trusty tool kit out took the wires off replaced them and when I did I heard that chirp of the alarm and my heart sunk no remote could not start the bike was about 80 miles from home.
Got a ride from a young man to my house and back gave him 100.00 live and learn.
