Sudden bad gas mileage issue

I wrote this forum about this issue that came up on my way back from NC on Roxie. Got lots of good advice. The issue turned out to be a short in the O2 sensor. Had it replaced and the bike runs like new again. The dealer said it was rare.
I also replaced the Remus muffler that was on the bike when I purchased it new with the original. Just didn't need the extra noise. So far I see no difference in the performance. Haven't tried to see if the top end differs. I'll let you know. Meanwhile if you want a Remus muffler, I'm selling it. I'll take some photos today if you want a close look at it.
