Think I found what occasionally kills my battery

I been having erratic problems with my Odyssey battery. Occasionally for no apparent reason it dies when I go out to the bike in the morning. Could never figure out why. I was just out in my garage and heard an occasional whirring noise coming from the bike, the kind of brief whirring noise that occurs when you turn the radio/CD on, something similar to a CD being ejected. The bike, a 2005 model, was powered down and the radio was definitely off. Has this oddity happened to anyone else ?

Re: Think I found what occasionally kills my battery

Some of the pre 2001 models had bad radios. The CD changer would shuffle even if the key was off and no cd's were in the player. Since you have a 2005, it may be the abs relay. This has happened to some owners. If you lift the seat up you should be able to pin point the noise.
Good luck and tell us what you find.

I have experienced exactly same symptoms and even posted same type of warning message in to Finnish forum. My bike is -99 but the radio is replaced with a new one 2007. With exactly same radio than the newer models use.

The situation where I heard the "sound" was when I had removed the CD from the machine and inputted it again after turning off the engine in the garage.

Born to be wild so why not

Re: Think I found what occasionally kills my battery

Rode the bike today and yesterday and the problem has not reoccurred yet. I will keep listening out so I can physically locate the exact source. Where is the ABS relay incidentally.
