Anyone seen an LT ad?

I have read a number of two wheel oriented magazines, and (in the US) don't recall ever seeing an ad for the LT? Anyone spotted one?? Am I not looking in the right rags??

Now I don't mean MCN's rear-drive bashing, I mean a real ad.

The reason for my question is that a friend from Germany told me that BMW was focused on an upgraded RT, intended to replace both the current RT & LT. While she has the creds, I don't think I've seen an ad for the RT either...

Re: Anyone seen an LT ad?

Seems like all the ads now are for the "go fast" bikes. No LTs, although they had a nice campaign a few years ago.

Very little is wrote about the LT.... I'm quite sure there has been one but I don't recall any articles in either the ON or the OTL in the last 4 years.....Would be nice to read and article every few years or so about the worlds finest motorcycle ....................Pete

Re: Anyone seen an LT ad?

Heavy ads in the magazines 2005 with the remodel of the LT. I was not looking when it first came out in 1999.

Re: Anyone seen an LT ad?

I used to see them in Rider magazine from time to time, several years back. There was a TV commercial that I just loved! I might have that archived on my server downstairs ... I'll have to check. I did find these two clips on YouTube that are pretty cool. About the time when the '05 model was being released...

Re: Anyone seen an LT ad?

.... considering you can get a new LT in any color you want as long as it's black says a lot about where BMW's focus is.. LT is a legacy machine.... will it be revitalized and recreated in a next generation machine? ... who knows.... speculations abound. Don't expect anything in print about the LT... now if they create a next generation machine....you can bet they'll be spilling the ink and the pixels all over the place to build hype over the lastest and greatest machine.

As much as it is my dream bike, my 19 year old daughter said it well the other day when I introduced her to my LT... she said, "....it's an old man's bike...." I just smiled.

Re: Anyone seen an LT ad?

As a BMW owner too, I get the Company rag - even in that, the last LT pic was in 2005.

Found the YouTube English comparo that DID have the LT in it (LT, HD, Victory, GW), and gave the nod to the LT over the Vision, only because of the lack of track record.. Still, it was something.
