Clear indicator lenses for LT

Does anybody know if there are clear indicator lenses available for the LT.

I think it will look much better on this bike.

A bad day on the bike beats a good day in the office.

Re: Clear indicator lenses for LT

In my opinion, Colyn, it sure would. We did 12K service on a Night Black LT yestiday and the turn signal lens had been changed. Looked to me, much better. I think ClearView makes both a clear lens, and a smoked set. There are some threads below your post that might have the info you're looking for. Good luck.

Me too... I just got them on Friday (ebay) for my titan silver LT and they look much better I think... I was anxious that they were "dimmer" and didn't offer as much "awareness" to oncoming traffic... but as you can see by the pics.. (I just took some pics and will load them shortly) the signal lights illuminate nearly identically on either side... sans the trailing edge which is a smoke .. and not an amber lense. With lights off.. hands down.. the smoke lenses transition well with the silver and grey tupperware.

company website www.clearalternatives.com. A couple footnotes: The top end of the clear lense extruded screw spacer sleeve was too narrow for the stock screws and needed to be bored to accept the standard lense screws. Also, the amber lamps that came with the clear lense were only one filament bulbs... need amber 1157's with dual filaments.

Re: Clear indicator lenses for LT

highgearhobbies on ebay had mine; +- $50.00 includes shipping and amber bulbs. Same issue with the narrow screw hole but cleans up easily with the drill. Looks good with Basalt gray.

Consider "Wings of Gold" with amber, also. Instructions for running lights only or running/turn signal lights; easy install (now that I've done it).

Thanks to cfell for the WoG suggestion!

Go to cyclegadgets.com and Product Search for Wings of Gold.

They are LEDs that fit in the wings below the mirrors. LED light shines down through the wing; it provides the extra lighting I'm looking for (short of buying PIAA lights). Choice of bulb color; I chose amber to match the turn signal color. If connected using the running light and turn signal feature, the turn signal and wings alternate illumination (signal then wing, signal then wing).

Hope this helps. I'll try to get a picture after dark and post it.

Regards,
Curt

I have clear turn signal covers from clear alternatives as well. They're nice, but you definitely want to make sure you get the correct bulbs (chrome coated looks best IMHO)

Thank you all for your comments ... I think I have seen what I need and will work out a plan to get it to South Africa.

Thanks again.

Re: Clear indicator lenses for LT

Here is another pic of the clear lenses, make sure you get the chrome amber bulbs it gives it that blue glow when not in use but lights amber when used. That pic that Clear Alternatives used in their add was mine and it cause me to have to upgrade my smugmug subscription becaused they linked it instead of just copy and paste.

Re: Clear indicator lenses for LT

I know this is an old thread but all the clear lenses I see for sale are only for 07 or earlier. Will they fit 09? Or does anybody have a site that says they fit 09?Thanks
