BMW offering new style fuel disconnects

This may be old news, I was going to upgrade to aftermarket fuel disconnects. 1 of mine had broken, I had done a temporary fix with a brass straight barb. Getting ready to go on a trip, so I inquired as to a replacement. They informed me that BMW was now offering a stainless steel replacement MALE END disconnect, this seems to be the offending half that fractures. Just another option:

I replaced mine already. I'd replace both sides though. Plastic is plastic and will last forever in a lanfill but not so on top of a hot motor................

At that price you can buy the Jiffy Tight connects from one of our sponsors and they are truly a very nice connector. Needle valve type and the are class.

Re: BMW offering new style fuel disconnects

From another post of mine, it was a answer to an e-mail to them.

The part numbers you will need are JIF-21505 and JIF-22505, these are a socket and plug with a 5/16 barbed end. If you are dealing with two hoses you will need two of each part number. The fittings come standard with Viton seals. The fittings are not really serviceable and there is no need to replace the seals. We have sold hundreds of these fittings without failure. I don't have band style clamps small enough for this hose. The screw type clamp part number is IDL-5203.

Please give me a call to place the order or you can go online at http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/jiftite1.htm to order.

Thank you for your interest in the Jiffy-tite product and I look forward to hearing from you.
