Byting the bullet

It is time to byte the bullet and replace the shocks on my 2005 K1200LT. After much research and discussion I have decided on the Hyperpro. I will be ordering them this week.

Does any one have a write up with instructions on changing both the rear and front shocks?

How complicated is this task?

Any special tools need to change the shocks.

Once again thanks for this form and all the help I have received in the past with my LT.

Re: Byting the bullet

I'm in the same decision making mode for my 05 LT. What was the deciding factors for you to go to Hyperpro?

Re: Byting the bullet

I read the file on the group buy http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthre...light=hyperpro . I talked a long time with Steve Larson at Annitori Distributing . He took the time to explain a lot about the working of a shock and the difference between racing and street set up. He sent me some PDF files to read about how a shock works and the final factor was Steve offered me the group by price.

I also did search on hyperpro on this site and found a lot of reading on shocks and hyperpro.

I will be ordering the shocks on Tuesday.
