Tool Kit

I just got a 2003 LT and as you might imagine the toolkit and manuals are gone.

Can I get a rundown on what came in the toolkit so that I can put one together. Also, anything that your experience has taught is wise to bring would also be appreciated.

Thanks heaps.

Re: Tool Kit

Two things that might help...

1) If you do a search on toolkit you'll see quite a few threads on what is stock and what people carried. Plus if you include my user name you should see my toolkit I made based on BMW's toolkit for the 2003 model.

2) To see that toolkit look at the online BMW fiches at almost every online BMW dealer. One of my favorites is Max BMW. Here's a direct link tot he fiche ...

Toolkit is in the Equipment/Parts section

Smile Re: Tool Kit

Thanks very much for the information. It was exactly what I needed.

In the future I will do a search so that I am not asking for information that is already posted. Thanks again.

It's not so much that ... at least not with me (other opinions differ), but that there is so much to try and repost it's hard to remember it all. Plus individuals recommend different additional hardware for the toolkit.

I used the link I sent you to build my own (it's in another thread), but I went beyond the basics and added a few additional tools. As most people do. Plus I also have a Slime air pump, LED flasher unit, first-aid kit, and a few other goodies I always carry with me when I travel.

Re: Tool Kit

Hi,

One of the guys on here did this mod to his bike, and sent me the pictures. They might be around someplace, but I'll post them anyway. it's a nice simple thing to do. I think it's stiff foam. I've just some neopreen I'll use when I get round to it. Right now I just have the basic tool roll.
