Re: Q D question

For $53.59 shipped, from www.smallparts.com, I picked up (2) QCBD-05-01 BR Double shut off conn 5/16" QD's that are both metal.
Install each side in an opposite direction to maintain correct line coupling in the future. They're not directionally, flow specific.
Very quick response time from vendor.

Re: Q D question

It is the male side that is most prone to break.

The spring that provides the shutoff, applies preasure to the male side connector which eventually breaks the plastic.

I had on that made it 40K miles.
I spent the 13.oo for a new one and another 13.00 for a spare.
If you have a spare, chances are you will never need it. I am hoping.
Or maybe I will sell the bike before I need the spare.

_ Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time, but always enough time to do it over?
