Reverse & Radio Cuts Out Update
I stopped by the Escondido dealer to day to check into the status fo rmy motorcycle. I had it in for the reverse not reversing more than a second or two and only rolling back a foot or two and intermittant cutouts when playing the radio. They did find fault codes regarding a spedometer sensor then a problem with the reverse gear switch (so I was told) and for the radio & amplifier. They were not going to do anything about the radio until the fault code became more specific. Based ont he information I gathered on the forum and some of my own thoughts, when I went in I discussed them with the temporary service manager (the previous one is away this week).
Bottom line: He agreed with me that if the problem (as listed in the service documentation) is the radio or amplifier (which is built in to the radio) then they should replace it. So the replacement should arrive this Friday and I should get my LT back next week with the reverse and radio working properly. As he put it "Get it fixed while under warrenty". My sentiments exactly.
As an FYI, apparently the amplifier is overheating then the tempature gauge reads half-way or above. Since that is just about every day out here, you can tell its not going to get better. But I thought I would mention it for those with the same problem. Maybe some additional cooling could help those out of warrenty.
