Top case liner

I have tried wording a seach in every combination I can think of and can't find this-How do you remove the inner liner (hard plastic) from the lid of the top box? I have removed all the screws and it still feels like something is holding it in place.

Re: Top case liner

there are some clips holding it in - IIRC, it's in the latch area.

Re: Top case liner

It is amazing, I tried every phrase I could think of and couldn't find this info. As soon as I posted it brought up a related thread which said the liner is glued in place. I am attempting to put an accessory plug in the trunk to charge the electronic "toys" on the road and thouht a spot in the lid woud be ideal. Time to hunt a new approach.

Re: Top case liner

buckelew is right, undo the retractor strap there are 2 velcroes at the back you need a small flat blade screwdriver to push the plastic clip towards you (dont push to hard it only has to clear the pin) at the locking catches lift the corner pushing on the clip repeat other side a lift out

edit: sorry this is how to get the bottom out I misread the post
