How do I reverse?

Hello everyone, just got my K1200LT working after fitting new wiring loom. ( Bought the bike with the loom burned out). My questions are; How is reverse gear activated? Is there any way to have the radio scan on FM at .1 incraments as all stations in Ireland are at even number frequencies and my radio scans in .2 incraments e.g. .1 .3 .5 .7?
I don't have an owners manual so unfortunately not able to consult it. Any help would be appreciated. The West of Ireland is a lonely place for an LT owner.

For reverse, put bike in neutral and put the little knob on left side of bike at R and press the starter button -

One of the others will have to speak of the radio, until I can look at my book.

Welcome to the world of the LT and this great group.

And for reverse, with tranny in Neutral - engine must be running before you rotate the selector on left side to R.

Checking manual on the radio...

I hoping that I'm wrong...but I don't think there is any way to change the seek function of the radio. I think you're dealing with the radio's firmware and there's no toggle for that. You may have to buy a new RCU and/or radio for your LT in order to listen to radio in Ireland. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong. Good luck!

On the reverse thing, don't forget you may have to rock the bike a little back and forth for the knob to engage.

Adversity builds character.

Loom

I think a "loom" is actually a wiring harness.

Garage
Radio

Joe is correct on the radio thing. You can not tune a .2 - .4 - .6 frequency in on a US model radio. Those frequencies are used for sideband carriers that broadcast thing like the read-out of a radio station info, XM land based antennas, elevator music and stuff like that....

A big thanks for the help.

Posted a question ( How do I Reverse ), replies were better than tech help from some of my suppliers. Regarding the radio, I will need to get a radio consul set up for Europe from a breaker. And yes a loom is a wiring harness. Again thanks to all who helped me.

FWIW Loom is the outer sleeve covering of the wire or group of wires.
