Question Anyone out there use a Mity Vac to change brake fluid???

Just wondering if anyone has. Seems like it would work great. Just a thought.

Used one a lot. It works great. Now I've got one that works off the compressor. The epitome of laziness, no more pumping.

I think most of us use the Mighty-Vac.

The cheap one for $40 works great for me. I would rather save the 20 or more to spend on the BMW.

I could play with women or with cars, I find cars are cheaper and you can write a book about cars a guy would understand.

Yeah... The cheap one, I got mine at Harbor Freight for 25.00.

I use it to push the fluid to the master from the caliper.
That really gets the air out.

Re: Anyone out there use a Mity Vac to change brake fluid???

Any "how-to" info from you guys would be great. My guess is, you draw the fluid from the reserviors thru the abs unit, and from the rear, two chambered reservior thru the calipers??? Let me know if that is how its done. I saw one guy post, "pushing from the caliper to the reservior". I guess that would work to "bleed" that part of the system, but I was talking more about "changing" the fluid in all of the circuits.

I went from manual bleeding to a MityVac...then found Speed Bleeders. No more MityVac for me. Much easier.

You really don't need either as the servo will pump out the fluid surprizingly fast. I highly recommend reading Mark's flush article for the integral brakes followed by my addendum if you have an 05 and up.
