Volume Button Issues

Has anyone's volume button gone out for their stereo. Mine will up the volume but not lower it. My work around is to hit the mute button and turn it up to the desired level.

Do you think it could be the volume control unit on the handlebars or the radio unit itself?

Re: Volume Button Issues

Does the volume control in back, for the pillion, work? That might be a clue where the problem lies.

Great idea I'll try that.

Post Re: Volume Button Issues

I have a 2003 LTE and while riding back from BMW MOA 2009, the handlebar volume control would not increase the volume of the radio/CD while depressed so I turned it down while riding in Kentucky and then I could not turn the sound back up. My wife and I rode the last 1100 miles of our trip with now music except the wind, a tornado in Kansas and the throaty sound of the Remus exhaust.

Mute is not on and the rear controls for volume does not work as well.

It had rained on the bike several days earlier while visiting SE Virginia but had been dry since.

What may be the remedy for this?
