Finally scored a set of BMW passenger floorboards on eBay

I've been looking for a while and finally managed to pick up a set of BMW chrome passenger floorboards. I wanted these because they are adjustable (major requirement) and can be used for my wife and 10 year old daughter. Plus they are an OEM part vs. aftermarket. Might help in the resale department down the road (if ever). Besides, I got a good deal on them. About $225 or so.

They are supposed to include everything that shipped with the kit including the instructions. I noticed the pads need a good cleaning, but that's about it. Is there anything I should know about them before hand to install them? Or any suggestions on cleaning the black rubber pads so they look like new?

Tire cleaner is something I hadn't considered. Thanks for the heads up.
