Bakup Backrest proper adjustment

I just installed a used bakup backrest that I bought and its like new. Didnt come with instructions though.
Question is-Where on my back should the backrest pad be. Right now it sits on the upper middle part of my back just below my shoulder blades. Thanks in advance.

I run mine right in the small of my back. The pad sits right on top of the back of the front seat. The whole idea is for it to make you sit up straight. But I recon you can run it where ever it feels best for you.

Re: Bakup Backrest proper adjustment

Ditto to the previous post. Mine is adjusted so that when my back is straight the rest is right there at my lower back. Depending on the whether or not I am wearing a heavy jacket or a just a shirt, the back rest needs to be moved fore or aft for the proper adjustment.

It will take some playing around to find your best adjustment. Even small changes make an amazing difference. A couple of turns of the adjuster can be the difference between okay and pure heaven. I change mine slightly based on the difference between thick winter gear and my mesh jacket.
