Windscreen removal question

I had just posted a question about a scratched shield and got some great advice. I now discover that the screens upper right lever arm is broken so I need to take the shield off to replace the arm. Any advice for removing the shield? The parts fiche says this is a $38 part, so some do it yourself time is in order.

Smile Re: Windscreen removal question

Remove the chrome covers by prying them off towards the outside edge from the inside. Take care as the " little comb " grips can break off very easily. 4 screws ( 2 per side ) attach the screen to the arms. Easier to do if the screen is slightly raised. The OEM screws have loctite pre-applied, and are only torqued to 2 Nm. HTH
