Damper Question

Anyone know the torx size for the bolt that holds the damper to the fork support and if you have to remove the tire to get it off? I have tried removing it with the tire on but cannot get the torx driver squarely in the bolt and cannot see when trying to put the torx socket into place. I know there is locktite on the threads.

Thanks
