Do the handle bars move up?

I think once you remove the bar covers you can adjust the handle bars higher. I'm a lanky guy and think higher might be nice. My question is can they be raised 4-6" and if so does it affect mirror vision or turning ability?
Thanks,
Hip

Re: Do the handle bars rise?

What, no one ever try this before??? I don't want 24" ape hangers. Just a lil higher grip is all.

Re: Do the handle bars rise?

The movement in the handlebars in only about 2 inches. To raise them, you must remove all the side tupperware, the stingray, the top handlebard covers and then the cover around the key. Full instructions here. I don't think you're going to get as much height gain as you want. JM2CW.

OBTW, another reason you can't raise them too high is the covers won't go back on.

Re: Do the handle bars rise?

All we can do is loosen the bars in the "dog-bone" and rotate them up or down a little so that your had naturally lays flat on the grip.

Try this link. I liked the results, in my case I wanted the bars further back (short arms ?) as well as higher.
