Motolight wiring question

Im sure its explained on the forum but cant find it.
I am mounting a pr of Motolights on my front forks. I want them to come on when my headlight or parking lights turn on. As anyone wired for that before and any pointers would be great. Thanks

Re: Motolight wiring question

Wire it the way the instuctions say, leave the switch in the on position, then your moto lights will be on then you head light is on and off when it is off.

Re: Motolight wiring question

Do what Michael has said. Attached is an older picture showing where I mounted my switch. I leave it in the on position. The only time that I turn it off is when I have to turn the ignition on without starting the bike to look at some electrical connections. With as much use as I give it, I could have easily placed the switch under the seat.

Re: Motolight wiring question

For power to the lites, I tapped into the left side running/signal lite.

Re: Motolight wiring question

pics and notes on my '05 install here... put in caliper motolights and both HID's at same time, also shows switch mount position next to headlight adjuster.
Have fun!

Re: Motolight wiring question

Below is a diagram of my Motolights install. Maybe this will help.

And here's where I mounted my Motolight switches. I liked the integrated look. But you might want to look into an 'AutoSwitch' if you want a switch at all. FWIW, I installed Motolights on my GT without a switch at all. I found that I NEVER turned my Motolights off anyway, so no need for a switch. Just my

Re: Motolight wiring question

Thanks for all the great help and suggestions. I might or might not install the switch as I will want them on all the time. Once again this forum has been great and the people on it have been great.
