More Ari's winter farkle project pics, parts 341 - 343

I updated some more winter project pics to my web album.

Here is my version of the motorized BakUp adjuster which was originally invented by Bruce Hodges (aka "bruce2000ltc").
Big thanks also to Tony (aka "deputy 5211") who sent me the power screwdriver and refused to accept payment for it!

The second one was my reversing light / additional brake light led mod. I was unable to find decent back-up lights so I made them myself...

And finally the indicator light for the trunk latch open / lock position. I have forgotten my trunk open so many times that I hope this helps me with the dementia.

To be continued...

Ari, you really should package these upgrades for sale to the LT community. Well done!

Regarding the reverse lights: I am assuming you installed a backup warning beeper, didn't you? (like U.S. construction equipment uses; it's a safety requirement. Perhaps it's used in Finland, also.)

Howard, you simply wouldn't pay what Ari would have to charge.

You must have quite a comprehensive 'pre-flight check' routeen by now.

He doesn't have to. I'll admit that I am!
Joe has a point. Sold in low volume, Ari's accessories (hey, that's a catchy name -- "Ari's Accessories"!) might be expensive. He'll just have to price them for the masses.

Well, talking about pre-flight routines...
One way to attract attention and fool people is to run all kinds of funny sounds out of the bike stereo system. I have recorded helicopter, steam engine, big diesel truck starting, jet fighter afterburner etc. on a CD that I can turn on on a parking lot, for instance. (This is by no means my invention, I have just learned this joke from another LT-rider.)

The best effect I have achieved was in a large ferry boat car deck turning on a helicopter start-up sound full blast from the bike stereos. The echo was pretty good and people looking up to the car deck ceiling and to each other wondering who has come to the ship with this kind of a vehichle or has the boat turned into an aircraft carrier...

Also the big Mack truck looong winding start-up sound is pretty good.

You can find some sound effects for instance here:

I know I know, Joe... Sorry I'll try to do better next time, this was just one one of those hasty jobs that one every once and a while winds up fiddling around with...

All the best anyhow
