Angry HID Light Issue

I was riding home last night and noticed my HID low beam headlight was out. Switched over to high beams and annoyed a few folks but made it home. After checking for loose connections, I found the light will come on for a minute or so then go out. My question is do I have a bulb problem or is it the igniter? My sensing is it may be the igniter and not the bulb. We (Giles) installed the CQ HID Light about a year ago (14K miles) and should not have problems this soon. Do I try and get a replacement bulb first? If so, what would be a good replacement? Thanks!

Re: HID Light Issue

it is your bulb, be a good idea to order 2 bulbs that way you have an extra on hand in case it goes out again.

Re: HID Light Issue

Oh Gilles helped you. That explains everything.

If the bulb lights up for a while, that would tell me the ignitor is working. I think I might be looking for a grounding issue. But that's just me.
