Talking Feels Good to Get it Up

I've been on side stand only for the past week or two. My centerstand leaked enough fluid to stop working.

Anyway, I got the seals delivered yesterday put it all back together and "It's Alive"

The rod seal was a urathane and wiper Buna-N. I think OEM is Buna-Buna.

Bleeding was the worst part, but, I forced enough fluid through it and blew the air through.

I'm traveling today, but, hope to have something written up shortly.

Re: Feels Good to Get it Up

What is up with all these titles lately ????

I'm glad you got it all working again Joe. I'm also glad I don't have one of those magic buttons.

Re: Feels Good to Get it Up

Thanks Guys,

No "Blue Pill" for me, just hard work and clean living

The rod itself was a little damaged. Seems it was rattling around a bit and has a little "ding" where the seal will travel. I've polished it and may have to remake it later.

You would be amazed how dirty the fluid was prior to replacing it.

If I had the seals in hand at the start, I would guess the entire process is about 3 or so hours. This includes the "how does it come apart" stuff. If I had to do it now, probably 1 or 1-1/2 hours would do it.
