Breaking news on LT handling!

Believing that there are those out there needing to know: I learned yesterday that the LT handling on paced snow and ice SUCKS! Had to run into town to get some parts for my truck, and the trip down my driveway (paced snow) as interesting, to say the least. Now I'm no expert, but I strongly recommend that you not try this at home!

It's all in the preparation! I found that having two sets of MotoLights on the front of an LT puts out just enough heat to melt the ice and snow before your tires hit it!

No problem!

Sheet ice or fresh snow - the K1200lt handles it far better than my ST1100. Mind you IF you drop them, they are a PITA to pick up!!
The key is never use first gear and hardly use the brakes.

You have way to much time on your hands. That or you were a Navy diver before the recompression chambers.

I don't think I'll ever have the experience of snow chains, nor the stones to ride in the snow on anything but a snowmobile. It's 80 degrees here in Miami. Oops! Did I say that out loud?

We had ice on the road yesterday. It was at a stoplight coming out of a Sonic cup.

C-130 - with skis......

Now - does the 'Light Truck' have enough in common with a "Flying dump truck" to do the same??

I may have finally found a name for my LT: "Hercules" - maybe time for some 'nose art'....

My god, am I seeing right?

Anyone that takes their LT out in snow deserves their own fate with no sympathy.

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

The only snow we see in Miami gets you 10 - 20.

Somehow my bike goes faster (much faster) when I see snow.
