Thumbs up New Fighter Project Idea

I'm thinking about a custom paint job for my k1200lt. Here is my idea...
let me know what you think?
http://www.cdcreations.org/motorcycle/

I wanted a paint job to make the bike look a bit meaner!

Smaller rivets

My 2 cents

I think it would look better witch smaller rivets and make them overlap like panels on a wing of a warbird.

If I were doing it thats what I would do

And add this if you can like a P-40

Great Concept!

You misspelled USN on the front fairing, though!

Really, nice concept. Best of luck!

Ya got my vote - I love it. I'd sure be proud to drive with that paint job.

I've got that emblem all across the back window of my Dodge.

I had a bike that was just about to be painted Urban camo - last second I bailed out of the job. A Mate mentioned that if I was taken out by a car, he would have the perfect excuse to say he didnt see me!!

I love the rivets idea. Perfec t for the grey colour scheeme.
If you work out how to do it, I may follow suit this side of the pond

I think since it's a BMW, it needs some kinda German graphics on it, but that might be in poor taste. But I like the fighter idea.

Ditto on the German insignia, do a search on Erich Hartmann's(highest scoring ace 352 kills) black tulip nosed me 109. Was thinking of doing that on my St1300...

It is amazing how many Euro bikers ride with these symbols on their jackets or helmets. Not my style though

I was in awe of this paint job, which I saw at CCR 2007. Not an LT, but you get the idea. This bike gets the full treatment: rivets, rust, stenciling, bullet holes, Japanese AND German victory symbols.

Thanks for the feedback.... I'll post actual pictures once compeleted.

Ya gotta admit, the theme fits the bike style though! I also want to improve the sound. Does anyone have any ideas?

And no, I don't want it to sound like an airplane... (LOL)

Everyone tells me the only taste I have is in my mouth.

How about lots of random bullet holes at .35 each times - lets say 100 - that's $35.00.

..then two sets of larger decals, 15" high at $16.50 each for the "tail" . (not neccessarily this one, but you get the idea, I would place them on the trunk...)

...and a couple of PG rated gals for some nose art for the front at $5.00 each.

Let's see, that's $78 and an afternoon.

If you got tired of the design or decided to sell your bike, peel 'em off!

Talking New Options

Okay, so now I'm torn! My kid didn't like the fighter project so I made up some more. He likes option 3 the best. Again, just trying to make my bike look meaner... K1200LT is the most awesome touring bike but since I gave up my jigster I kinda miss the sound and look of it!

I wanted a paint job to make the bike look a bit meaner!

I've got a better idea - just buy one of these Tarnags (I flew one this past Sunday) and put some BMW badges on it - their logo IS a spinning propeller after all.

Flies just like a fighter jet on 80 horsepower - about the same top speed as an LT, 115 mph - but no traffic hassles.

Re: New Options

Ron:

Para Sailing even under power wouldnt be as exiting as hitting the curves in my trusty old LT (99-Canyon Red) She has provided me with many thrills.

Besides a Sports Class Pilot License isnt a real license anyway LOL. Even a Benson Gyro Copter has been Military Certified and I think it might be a little faster!!

I live in South Florida so I would have to fly that plane over the atlantic. Now that would be awesome!

Um, why does it say "NO STEP" right where you're suppose to put your foot?

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
