In, on or about July 1981, I bought my first BMW.....an '81 R100RS.

Somewhere in 1997 I traded it in on a new R11RT.

In Nov 05 it was creamed by some knucklehead fiddling with his radio in his pick'em up truck...............

In Dec 05 I drove my LT home from the dealership.

The RS went out with 135,000 miles on her...........
The RT had 124,647 miles on it when the tow truck dragged it up on the flatbed.
Tonight when I got home, the LT has exactly 40,353 miles on it...........

Yep...you got it................GRAND TOTAL..........300,000 miles....EXACTLY!!

Next stop.......if I can still lift my leg that high............well........we'll see!

Well deserved congratulations, Pat. Wonder what BMW has in store for ya for the 300K mileage award??

I don't think I'll ever attain 300K, butt I'd sure like to. Taken me 8 and half years to do just 120K. I'll keep on keepin' on for it tho.

Best Regards for your next 300K!

Well done, indeed! I pale in comparison with only 105,000 - K100RT, R80RT, 02 LT, 07 LT. Now if the ice here would just MELT . . . .

Hi Pat,
Congratulation on the lots miles.
Here is my records. Started with BMW's in 1958, a single cylinder 250cc R 27
Then came the R 50, R60, R69 S, R 90. Once I bought a Honda and a Ducati,
but went back to the Bavarian in a hurry.
The R 100 RS Motosport, picked up new at the factory, then i wanted to seat up
straighter due to my age, came the R 100RT, then the R1100RT which I still have.
Then a year ago I got the K 1200LT, which I rode every day in December and in this new year,
even today.
I lost count on the accumulated miles on this bikes, but it must be near 500 K.
Maybe I see you next summer when I get back to the NW.
Retired life is great in the winter here in St George, Utah.

Miklos, Shoreline,Wa in the summer
St george, UT in the winter
