Question Relocation of the preload adjuster

My power seat height adjuster project is gradually proceeding and I have pretty much figured out how to utilize the windshield motor assembly Richard ("varoom") so kindly sent to me.
However, the rear spring preload adjuster in on the way and has to be moved.

I wonder if anybody has any experience in this? I have been considering a location on the right side (same as spring) on the outside of the frame tube. I guess it does not matter if the preload adjuster is mounted sideways or vertical. Some BMW models have it mounted permanently sideways, don't they?

I dont' think it matters what angle it's mounted. It swings through 90 degrees in the standard mount and works fine so I don't see why permanently mounting it one way of the other would matter. The bigger question I have is where do you plan to mount it going to leave it accessible for adjustments?
