2004 LT radio/CD suddenly not working...

Hey all!

The good news: I've just discovered this forum!

The bad news: a problem has arisen today which I've never before encountered in 3 bikes, 6 years, & thousands of miles of riding - namely the radio/CD unit has just stopped working.

It's weird: the unit lights up when you press 'on', and the other function lights work fine, but nothing appears in the dashboard and there's no functionality suddenly. Weird!

I've checked the fuses & obvious stuff like that, but otherwise I have no idea what could be the problem (maybe a logic issue which requires a dealer visit?). It may be connected that I've just recharged & reinserted my LT battery after cold weather meant a flat battery, but the radio unit worked fine for a day before this particular problem cropped up.

Thank you in advance for any ideas, & I look forward to fully engaging in this forum...

Hey, thanks for the reply. Been flicking through the forum & looks like it's time for a dealer visit.

Hmmm - thing is, my radio's already been replaced _twice_ since I bought the bike new in April 2004 (though has been trouble free for about a year & 10,000 miles now).

I'll see what the dealer says on Monday, & meantime I'll enjoy the silence :-)
