todays test drive

Its the end of the riding season and frost has become a regular morning occurrence. Today I went out to the garage, sat on the bike and turned her over, sounded so sweet, it was a great test drive even though I never left the garage.

Unfortunately I took a tumble from the roof 4 weeks ago and broke a bunch of bones which pretty much ended my riding season prematurely. I'd only had the bike home for a month prior and was loving the ride. She sure looks good sitting there though. Will heat things up in a month and change out the fluids when the cast comes off, I'm even looking forward to that!

From this site I've made a great little list of maintenance jobs I'll be working on over the winter, looking forward to next spring already!

Ready by April

There are always lots of us Canucks heading (with bike in trailer) to warmer climates in March, April time.
I can't imagine you could miss such an opportunity after having the summer season cut short by your acrobatics.
Last year we did South Florida (including Key West) in late Feb/early march but think this year we'll go as far as Virginia in April and mount up there .... should be nice riding and almost as warm as Flatland (Florida) by that time of year.
Maybe you'll plan to meet us there ?! If not us, Florida was stuffed full of Canadian bikers last March ..... you'll find a friend there somewhere.
Be well.
Keir
PS: Ride safe -- when you get a chance outside the garage in May or so

Ron,

Sorry to hear of your fall, but glad to hear that your injuries were not worse than they were. As you recuperate, remember that some of the best ride can occur in our memories and in our imagination.

Sounds like you're getting some good therapy in. Crankin up the bike and changing fluids will do wonders for your recovery process. DAMHIK
