Met two other LT riders there. I really suck at names.

Lots of Beemers in attendance.

All in all it was a very good event, but there was a lack of after-market part vendors for the BMW.

Sigh, you can't have everything.

That has been the case at any of the IMS shows. Not designed for the BMW rider, lots of stuff for the cruizers though.

Trip report...

Went this afternoon as well. No 2009 K1200LT. Nice 2008 model there though. Rick
Fairless was suppose to be there, but I didn't notice any fanfare or signs. Not sure
what he's infamous for...

Tried on Gerbing's Cascade Extreme jacket and pants for my Christmas list. G3
gloves too. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with these? Its what I plan
on buying as a riding suit.

Met some folks I know from my hometown who talked about their test rides on the
Victory Vision. Sitting on one in the arena, it seemed a bit top heavy for me. In
fact it smelled of leaking gas.

Quite a number of 'cute' distractions populating some of the booths....wow....

The "Ride Texas" magazine folks didn't come out this year.

I bought the online tickets for $10, but paid $8 for parking. Yikes! And they didn't
even wash my car. Motorcycles get in free.

They had a nice motorhome in there that could support two full size bikes in
the back and provide ramps out. Neat. I believe it was $270,000. Maybe less.

The steel ball of terror, or whatever they called it was kept outside this year.
It made a lot of noise and fumes last year in the arena. Good move.

Saw a few K1200LT's in the parking lot on the way in, and one with a rider.
Wanted to ask him if he was a member, but wanted to get inside.

They had both the 800 S and the 800 ST there. I liked the St a little better, and this one will be a popular bike with the ladies, cause it sits a little lower to the ground I think. Would make a great communter bike.
