? Remove the thermostat?

Well my bike takes to long to come up to temp, about 5+ miles. So my thoughts are that the thermostat may be stuck open??? Ok I am attempting to pull it to check it's operation. Got the manual out, for instruction. Pulled the retaining clip and pried, moves about an eighth of an inch but doesn't come out. Any suggestions??

The bike also runs really rough till the bike get to normal temp?

Bill,

If you get the thermostat out and you want another to use without paying retail (or anything, for that matter) just ring me up.

I think that your thermostat is working normally. Mine takes about the same distance. Halloween night when I left work I was immediately in stop and go traffic for a half hour. The temperature gauge took about 20 minutes before it came up to temperature. Strange for sitting in traffic, but that is my story.

As for your bike running rough, I would look somewhere else. My bike can sit for days, I can start it up and ride immediately without any hesitation. Good luck!
