Brake Pads, 54K miles

Just thought someone would like to know...

I replaced Traveller's original brake pads today. They went 54K miles. Front pads were all the way worn down. Rear pads had about 25% material left.

Not bad for an 850 pound bike riding two-up most the time!

Wow! On my 99 I had to replace the pads all around at 12K.
Then again I do a lot of L.A. traffic...
On my 03 I replaced the pads at ~30k miles, the originals having been replaced by the PO prior to my acquiring the bike.
On the 05 I am watching the pads as the bike is getting near 24K.

And then she left me... She said I was never home!!!

39.000 miles on the original front pads but....I'm on my 3rd set of rear pads. The PO pulled a trailer and so do I so that does not seam to bad to me
