More mirrors! More!

I note that there are a couple of unused holes* next to the handlebar resevoirs and wonder if I could fit some aftermarket mirror into them.

Anyone tried this? I kinda miss the good old days when I could turn the handlebars at a stop sign and see different things in my rear view mirrors.

*= I'll admit that I don't know what these holes are for, either. The bike is still too new to me to have discovered what everything is for.

Custom sig temporarily unavaiulable while I think about it.

Them there holes are hardpoints for your future farkles !!!

I really don't know why they are there either, possibly the same brake and clutch setups are used on other models that are not 'tupperized'.

That is correct. And you can use RS mirrors. Here's the details...

Welcom to another chandler LT!
Sounds like the mystery holes have been ID'ed, so I'll just offer welcome and enjoy the bike!

I ordered my RS mirrows and have them in a box in the garage waiting for the right nuts to be sent so i can install them. Nice quality mirrow. I held them in the holes to see how it is going to be and just doing that I can tell this is going to be much better. They don't take away anything in looks from the bike either.

@mrbiker: Thanks for that link. Not surprisingly I overlooked it as my search for "mirrors" mostly gave me lots of threads convincing me I need to tether them as well! But almost $200?!?! Oh for the good old days when I could pick up a universal screw in for either side of my bike, in black or chrome, for around $20!

@whiteMTNmark: Oh yeah. No matter how far out I set the stock mirrors at least 1/4 of them is a great view of a lever and grip. Since I know what those look like, I thought it would be nice to see if the word "Peterbuilt," in reverse, is closing in on me.

@azredline: Thanks, amigo! I'll probably see you around sooner or later. I don't usually look like my avatar.

@dmatson: Another vote for the RS mirrors. I'll have to look into them. (No pun intended.)

RS Mirrors

Ummm, guys?

I'm confused about something. Using the information above, and the link to the other post, when I went to get pricing, the question I was asked was "Do you want the mirrors for the R1150RS or the K1200RS?

The pricing isn't greatly different, but the styling sure is. I was trying to do this by phone so it's not like I can take them outside and look at them on my bike.

So, which ones are you all talking about?
