Intermittent Cruise Control

I need help in adjusting my clutch lever side cruise control switch. Now the system in shutting off by itself after being engaged for a few minutes. It went from working fine to darn right annoying.
I've heard these can be adjusted (instead of replaced), mine was replaced just over a year ago. Sounds like to me that it need adjusting again. Anyone done this before???

Check your rear speed sensor. On my 07 the bolt was loose and caused those symptoms. I understand that some times the wire gets crimped and causes the same problems. Have you noticed any speedometer fluctuations? That would be another sign of sensor problems.

My '02's needed adjustment and the mechanic did it at a service. Didn't look too hard, just fiddly. The clue that it needed adjusting was the sound of the micro switch clicking, or not clicking. Check it with the bike off and you can hear the click as you work the lever.
