Thumbs up BMW Replaced My Radio!

Howdy and Happy Thanksgiving!

As many of you know, Traveller's factory radio went kaput just as her factory warranty expired.

NOT TO WORRY!

BMW of Atlanta had their mighty service guy Bill attack my problem! They warranted my bad radio and replaced it with an upgraded model.

I BE A HAPPY CAMPER AND ALL THAT!

The new radio is more powerful (louder!). The scan and seek thing really work now. The best part however, is she now has the Weather Radio!

Thanks Bill and all the kind folks at BMW of Atlanta!

Talking JAM on Capt!

On the "other" K bike forum...I just read a thread this morning where a guy says, "It is so hard to make a bike look good in SILVER". I could not believe my eyes! All that to say...WOW! YOU'RE LT LOOKS REALLY SWEET IN THAT PIC!!! And that Captain Morgan pose almost made me pass java thru my nose!

Priceless! And congrats on the new radio.

I think I'm with Joe on this one. It looks like they forgot to paint it, and just sprayed the clear coat over the primer.

Huh?

Ken, I think you need to re-read my post. I LOVE silver on most bikes. I was quoting some other yo-yo on the K-Bikes forum.

Well, that's what I get for quoting off a quote, which was taken out of context. Good thing we've never seen that here before, except maybe in the humor forum.

Let me rephrase: "I think I'm against Joe on this one . . ."

Question Radio

What year did the radios have more output? What year did they start putting the security codes in the radio?

Pete,

Don't know if they ever increased the output. The reason mine increased is because it was replaced. My old unit had slowly become defective. Eventually loosing the right channel and much of the original volume.

Allen, it's not that your bike looks that good in the picture....it looks good because a professional photographer took the "Captain Morgan" shot!! I don't know his name ...but his initials are Ron Ray!!! Ha! Ha! The bike looks good but BLACK is still the fastest color! Ron

Re: BMW Replaced My Radio!

Are you saying the BMW dealer will replace the radio/stereo on the bike even if it is out of warranty for free ?

Thanks.

Well. If you dress up in tights, put on a tu tu so that you look like the pix of Warden on his bike, they just might?!

Re: BMW Replaced My Radio!

While not a schematic it does show the pinouts. One of these days I will re-do it translated. But you can get the hang of it with the help of Google translate function.
