?? How to wire in headphones??

I've a set of Arizona Al's ear phones that I would like to hook up. Went to Radio Shack and told them I would like to tap into the rear speakers and install a socket to plug the ear phones into.

Was told that I'd need to reduce the power coming from the rear speakers and they did not have anything to do that, additionally they did not have any type of a socket.

Can someone suggest some options for me. I do not have the comm system on the bike; it's an 05 model.

Thanks - Tim

rear tap

You can tap into the rear speakers under the seat. Connect a 1kohm resistor between each channel and a stereo headphone jack. Connect the grounds the same manner, but both go to the single ground on the headphone jack.

I know this has been addressed on the old site. I found this.

2016 Yamaha FJR1300A (Cobalt Blue)
1973 Honda CL350 (Red)

2001 K1200LT Pacific Blue
and a long list...
