Windshield replacement

I am looking to replace my windshield on 99 K12LT. I have the lowered seat kit and have cut apprx. 2" off of the original W/S. Length is pretty good for me at 5'9" and a 30" inseam. What is the major differences between Cee Bailey's and the Parabellum's that are out there? Other options?

Try VStream

My friend has an '06 GT. He changed out his second windshield for a VStream, http://www.ztechnik.com/. He says it manages air better, I think it's harder and has much less distortion than my Cee Baileys.

Thumbs down Windshield Replacement

Have a 2001 LT.
Same height and inseam.
Comfort seat in low position.

Have two (2) Cee Bailey #2's with the built in reverse contour.

http://www.ceebaileys.com/bmw/1200ltsel.html

One is two (2) inches shorter than standard.
Didn't like looking through the top of the original windshield.
Learned two inches wasn't enough with the reverse contour.
Still, the clarity was better than the stock BMW
and the protective pocket was much better.
It's now my winter shield.

The second is four (4) inches shorter than standard.
Allows me to look over the windshield in the lowered position.
This is my year-round choice.

Recently bought the Z-Technik windshield.
It's taller than I'd like;
Looking through, instead of over the windshield, again.
Good protection, though.

Hello ..

I have an '03 LT with a lowered seat. My recommendation for you would be a Cee Bailey #2 -4. The lowered seat puts you down a bit. To see over the shield at all, you really should go with the -4.

That is what I have, and it works great for me. I also use beads on my seat and frequently a sheepskin under the beads. With all in use, I can see clearly over the sheild and can raise if necessary.

Good Luck. The Cee Bailey is far superior to the stock shield. I have a friend with the ZTechnik, and he much prefers the Cee Bailey. Have had mine for 2 years and will leave it on permanently now after changing back and forth with stock several times.

As another alternative, I have talked to others that like the AeroFlow screen. But, I will stick with what I have.

Good Luck

Tried Cee Bailey's, now got Z Technik's V-Stream. Absolute perfection. Say no more!

I would rather be riding my bike and thinking about God than sitting in Church thinking about my bike!
