another radio problem

i did a search and couldn't find a thread on this one. my radio will not turn off, change station, or change volume. the station indicator on the sting ray is lighted, but there is no writing. it was working the day that it started. i rode to work, and turned the bike off. when i left work it wouldn't turn off.

Before doing anything else, I would disconnect the battery for 30+ minutes to see if this resets the radio.

Remember after reconnecting the battery that you need to reset the throttle position sensor. Key on but don't start. Fully open the throttle and release. Repeat. Key off. Then start as normal.

This might not fix the radio but is easy to do and does fix a number of problems.

I'm glad that fixed the problem.

You might want to keep an eye on your battery. I started having all kinds of problems with my radio a few months before my battery died. It got to the point where I was having to follow this procedure 2-3 times a week. Haven't had a single problem with the radio since I replaced the battery.
