100,000 mile club (shared)

Milestone for me... never seen a bike with it so it was even more cool to have been able to watch all those 9's turn over. Wish I could say they were all mine, but I have to share with the previous owner.

Still... it was cool.

btw... original rear-end according to all the maintenance records since original with no engine/tranny work.

Congratulations!

Why don't you add your name to the Official 100,000 Mile Club thread? It could use a bump anyhow.

I agree that it is fun to watch the miles start over again. I did it on my R90 but a few miles were from the first owner. I did it on a Yamaha Venture I bought new. Hopefully I will get there with this BMW but at the moment I am less than half way. Congratulations on yours!

Congratulations

Dave,

You got twice the mileage of mine.

Just a couple of questions:

1) At John's Tech Session, some were questioning how often (if ever) valves actually need adjustment. Have you had to swap out buckets in 100K?

2) Did you do all your own maintenance?

3) From your experience, what is "overkill" and what is "required"?

I'm planning on going at least 100K and just trying to benefit form your view at the top of the mountain.

Thanks,

Joe
