GPS question....

my new k1200lt has been prewired for a gps. has anyone purchased a unit direct from garmin that will just plug into the factory wiring?

if so, which model?

bottom line is i'm hoping for something a little cheaper than the BMW version that will just plug in and clip on. no muss, no fuss.........

thanks in advance.

The Garmin Street Pilot 2720, 2730, or 2820 will plug right into the BMW system.

It may be prewired but you will have to do some work on providing a mount. The BMW wiring is intended to be used with there cradle that mounts were the wiring is located.

Garmins motorcycle mount will bolt right onto the LT's gps stub with no drilling or modification. You can tuck the bmw gps special cable into the top faring as you won't be using it.
