I would think you could buy a sweet low milage 05 from someone here and have it shipped to you for less money...

For the US, that price is high. For a Kuwaiti bike, it may be a great deal. You have to look at what new bikes sell for over there, what used bikes sell for, and if any used bikes are available.

I agree you can get a used US '05 and have it shipped for that price, but you'd have to see if there were any duties or customs fees that would end up costing you more.

An '03 LT is a great bike, and if you do buy it you'll be happy with it. I would ask that the dealer flush and replace all the brake and clutch fluid, as well as the radiator, as even a new bike that's been sitting for 3-4 years should have this service done.

In the end, it's your money, and your call.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Two years ago, I bought a 2003 LT (w/Com system and GPS) with 15 thousand miles on it for 15 thousand dollars.

19k for a new bike? Sounds high when you can get a 2007 LT w/ electric center stand for almost the same price.

Good luck,

Cool You should be able to get it for less

I bought my 03 in July of 05 for $15,900 and it only had 1000 miles. She was a total garage queen completely loaded. I have put 16,000 trouble free miles on her and I love the machine. NADA shows a suggested list of $17,990 and an average retail price of $10,776. I don't think I would give more than $13,000 for the bike even if it is 0 miles.

Does it come with hardpoints, mine detector, and titanium plating ?

Mini-gun optional ???

Forget the HID, I'd opt for FLIR.
