HID issue, maybe solved?

A while back I posted that my CQ-HID would not light everytime, without turning the ignition on and off a couple of time. I took everything apart to check tightness and all was ok.

I sent an email to the folks we arranged the group buy with and received back the following:

Thank you for your e-mail.

Some motorcycles are designed different. Thus, we will send you 1 x H7
special wire harness which to stable the electric current and it will solve
your problem.

The wire harness will be shipped out by May 25, 2007.

I will keep you all posted as to how this works.

yeah, keep us posted, after about ten hours of installing, un-installing, installing, un-installing, cutting knuckles, cussing enough that my neighborhood homeowner's association fined me, I've put my HID kit in a box in my garage and gone back to my original bulb set-up, AFTER they said the problem "will be solved with an updated ballast that we will send you" which it didn't...

Check the relay

I had the same issue and changed the relay. Working great since!
