Possible Alarm Solution

Several people here have asked about changes in their alarm response. Well, I may have stumbled on a clue.

I reprogramed my '02 early on, & it worked well for years. Lately it started beeping when I turned the alarm *off* & flashing twice for both alarm set & alarm cancel. Not what I had set it to do...........

Getting ready for our current trip I decided it was once again time to replace the batteries in the alarm fobs. As soon as I had new batteries in each fob the alarm returned to it's normal silent, two flash for set, single flash for cancel mode. Maybe the change is Der Fatherland's way of telling us to change batteries <shrug>. Submited for reference only, YMMV........

I had the opposite results, mine worked fine until I changed the batteries.

Did you "re-marry" the remote back to your LT. There is a process of what to do after you change batteries to re sync it...

Yes I got my trusty manual out and followed it step by step. When I reset the fob I got a flash and beep and a flash and squeal. The two sounds that the bike bakes when turning off the alarm are not the same.
