Anyone know of where you can order some, and part number, if needed when ordering. Thanks

oil filter o-rings

It should come with the oil filter, along with all of the crush washers for the engine oil plug and rear end plug.

Are you talking about the 0-ring found under the oil filter access cover plate?

When I buy filters at my local BMW dealer he asks me if I just want the filter or I want the "kit". By getting the kit I get the filter, 0-ring, and crush washers for the drain plug. Note that the kit is used for more than one bike and there are different sized crush washers one or two of which are not needed on the KLT.

As long as the original 0-ring is in good shape I just clean it and the channel it goes in and reuse it. Never a problem.

Hey Mike,

11131460425 - that's the big cover o'ring

Like the guys said the kits come with 'em. I have a couple extra if needed since I often reuse. Also have ordered from Chicago and A&S. Charlotte probably has 'em.

If you just want to 0 rings and crush washers, you can get them at www.beemerboneyard.com.

If your not getting the o-ring and crush washers with the filter, you are purchasing the wrong filter. BMW does sell the same filter without the o-ring, but its for a different bike. The correct filter kit for the LT comes with everything you need.

thanks, just wanted some extra crush washers and o rings in case the bike ever developed a leak, would save me a trip to the dealership which is a 80 mile round trip, would rather be riding than driving to go get simple parts.

I understand, I am in the same situation. They sell a kit with just 0 rings (1)and crush washers (6 i think) for around $5.00. Look there under their new parts area.
