Sirius tether?

Finally got aroound to mounting the Sirius radio on my LT. Went for a ride Sunday and other than more than a few spots with poor reception (antenna is on the dash) anyone got any good ways of tethering that thing? Hit 2 real bad spots at bridges, knocked the mirrors loose and the GPS out of its holder but it didn't go anywhere cause of the wires. Caught the Sirius both times in my lap, might not be so lucky next time. The lock seems to work OK but a good bump makes it jump right out of the mount.

I use a rubberband around my XM SkyFi2 ever since it was knocked off at 30mph. Luckily it just popped some knobs off and got battle scar or two.

No problems since.

My sirius radio has a small screw that you can screw in from the back that keeps it from bouncing out, but once you mount it you can't take it off. I just cover it with a plastic bag when it rains.

I keep mine in the oddments box so it is protected from the weather and still reachable to change stations.
