No electricity to Injectors

Hello,..was hoping someone has had this problem. 2004 k1200lt Bike ran,...Sat for quite some time, did fresh oil plugs ect...new fuel pump filter ect... now will not run, did all the normal checks,..will run with fuel directly put into it,..took apart rail and cleaned injectors,..tested them they are fine,..just not getting enough electricity to make them work,..everything else works. Good fire, good fuel pressure, not sure if the motronic can just go bad from sitting,...have unplugged and replugged every relay and fuse in the bike. It did tip over on me in the garage so thought maybe there is a tip sensor somewhere but cant find one....any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks
Dan.

Re: No electricity to Injectors

The injectors are powered by the same line as the coil and fuel pump so if it was running the injectors had power. The ECU does provide the ground signal to cause the injectors to fire. Could be a break in the wire leading to the ECU. It is a Yellow/Gray wire going to pin 20.

One other thing to check is the fuel pump wired correctly and not running backwards? Need to measure the fuel pressure. Also there is a similar connector loose in the area of the fuel pump connector that will fit but the pump runs backwards. Wire colors on the correct connector are Green/White and Brown, where the colors on the WRONG one are Red/Yellow and Brown.

Re: No electricity to Injectors

Hi JZ, thank you, I will try and trace the wire for a break, the pump is plugged to the correct harness. I will double check the pressure to be sure though.

Re: No electricity to Injectors

Fixed!,..So your not going to believe this one, I was checking for High pressure at the tank, had it, so I thought no problem,..but maybe it's just not quite enough and there is a tear in the hose inside the tank, took it apart again no tears, no problems, but just for giggles decided to compare it to old Pump assembly....well long story short it turns out the one I ordered from Germany had the quick connects perfectly backwards and I was pressurizing the return line the entire time. A quick snip swap and clamp and She runs again! Thanks for the help.

Yeah I figured it was something along those lines. Glad you found it.
