Old stereo

Does anybody have an old stereo for an 05 with bad amps they would be interested in selling? Took mine to a local guy and he messed it up even worse than it was. Thanks

Re: Old stereo

I don't have a stereo for you, but I'm in AZ as well. Hit me up if you want to ride sometime.

This is Scott. How is the LT treating you? If nobody has a non functioning radio what are the best replacements? Thanks.

Re: Old stereo

That must have been upgraded then, as the 2001 should have a cassette deck. I have had mine upgraded but am toying with the idea of building a controls interface to something aftermarket. Not sure when I will have the time though. If someone wanted to give me lots of money for it, I may get on with it.

Re: Old stereo

The replacement radio will have to be from a 2005 to 2009 LT. The 1999 to 2004 LT radio's will not work.

Re: Old stereo

R K If LTnAZ cannot use your system I'am interested in it as I just pick up 2001 K1200LT with the stereo and CD missing. I pick up this bike for parts but it ended up being to clean to cut up and only has 14 k on it. I going to repair it.

Re: Old stereo

LTnAZ, I have a radio out of an '05 LT that I will send for free. Just cover shipping please.
I do not know if it works as there were several electrical 'bugs' that I had to sort out upon initial purchase of the LT. I replaced the unit before I sorted them all out.
PM your address and I will send it your way.

Thanks Mark. I truly do appreciate it. the LT is torn down for service and we are riding dirt bikes mostly now. Jenny is loving having her own bike and learning to ride. Spent most of our summer in Flagstaff camping and riding dirt bikes.

Re: Old stereo

For those wondering the difference in the radio's the 1999 to 2004 are for the analog dash & the 2005 to 2009 are for the digital dash USA models. All other countries it would be 1999 to 2003 analog & 2004 to 2009 digital.
