How long is can of Glasurit paint good for?

Holt BMW (holtbmw.com) in Athens, Ohioan authorized Glasurit dealer mixed me 1/2 pint 3 years ago. I need to do small repair. I still have 1/3 of can left over. Can I still use this paint?

Thanks for quick response. I do not remember the painting process. After part is sprayed a clear coat is applied? Does paint need to be mixed with anything?

I need to find a painter. Will painter know procedure of how a BMW Bike is painted or is it all standard?

Thanks for all the help.

If it is a basecoat/clearcoat paint (urethane) used on the bikes then you'll need to mix the pigment (base) 50/50 (usually) with the proper reducer. Spray that over the primered area, then after 30 minutes and within 24 hours you have to apply the clearcoat. It is best to stay with a single mfg. for primer, base and clear (and for the reducer for the base).

Mix Ratio

Mixing Ratio is 2:1 (Paint/reducer)
Shelf life is 6 months.
