Thanks to everyone here who’s contributed to the alarm posts for having enough information for me to get my new-to-me lt started today. I discovered that the reason the fob wasn’t working was primarily due to the mice that had eaten the alarm wiring harness.
It’s all good though. It runs just fine without an alarm thanks to the great bypass info here and I was able to take it for a spin around the block.
For future searchers, I have a 2002 with a 12 pin plug and the second set of wires to jumper (2/10) are brown/silver and brown/silver/yellow. Also jumper on the bike side, which is the plug that is fastened in the alarm box. You can get it loose from the bike by pushing down on it.
I ended up completely removing the alarm system and dead ending all the chewed up wires on the bike side (except for the jumpered ones, which I soldered together).
Bike started up right away after sitting for nearly 2 years.
